40th Anniversary Reunion
Plans are underway for the 3/9 Infantry Regiment “Manchu” 40th Anniversary Reunion, with a projected timeframe of June 10–14, 2027, at Red River Gorge Underground in Kentucky.
This reunion is about more than just picking a destination. It is an opportunity to bring the Manchu family back together, reconnect with old friends, remember those no longer with us, and spend a few days sharing the brotherhood that began decades ago.
If we can confirm our dates and reservation soon, we may be able to secure the lodge for our group. That would allow us to stay together under one roof, with an on-site banquet and community room included, giving us our own space to gather, tell stories, share meals, and enjoy the reunion without everyone being scattered among different hotels.
Estimated lodging is approximately $80 per person, per night or $160 per couple, per night, based on a four-night stay. Final rates will depend on confirmed attendance and availability.
A New Reunion Location
Red River Gorge would give us a new place to explore while still providing plenty of time to simply sit down with the guys we served with and the families who have been part of the journey.
The area offers a wide range of activities, scenic drives, outdoor attractions, restaurants, sightseeing, and places to relax. Whether you want to stay busy or just spend your time swapping stories with fellow Manchus, there should be plenty to do.
For those traveling in from around the country, several major airports are within driving distance, including Lexington (LEX), Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG), Louisville (SDF) and Nashville (BNA).
Manchus, Start Making Plans
This is our 40th Anniversary Reunion, and we want to make it one worth remembering. If you served with 3/9 Infantry, bring your family, find the guys you have not seen in years, and help spread the word to other Manchus.
Four decades may have passed, but the brotherhood remains.
